The Summer may be shorter and maybe even Spring
But you never really know what tomorrow will bring.
I’d just begun to see things through.
Everything you said to me was all so very true.
I thought we’d sit and talk this Sunday about younger days.
But tomorrow came and then I realized we must go our separate ways.
As I read my poem to everyone in this loving, friendly, place
I can feel the warm and gentle tears rolling down my solemn face.
I know there is nothing I can do but I am glad I got the chance
To say as I bent and whispered “I LOVE YOU” in your ear, tomorrow-forever-today.
Now you must finally rest, and my poem must come to an end.
I hope and pray we’ll sit one day to have the talk we planned.
I’ve noticed throughout life we make
Decisions and special little plans,
But there comes a time in EVERYONE’s life when God must take our hand.
