Of all the responsibility

Creation entails

He took everything at the pace of a snail

Hoping it’d all go away

And in the shell forever stay

Angry, agitated, and forcing its way.

Through the depths of despair

And demanding to be

I cried, “Lord, come, rescue me.”

God was slow to answer

I took forever and a day

But he assured me,

‘I am the way.’

It seemed I was on my way

Peace for a while had come to say
